All The Coin Rings on this site are Hand Made, and as such each ring is a totally unique one off creation.

Coin Rings can by crafted from all sort’s of coins, the most popular being older British coins, and United States Half Dollars. The older British coins usually have a more appealing design and higher silver content, ranging from 925 sterling silver Victorian coins, to mid twentieth century coins of 50% silver content.United states coins contain varying degrees of silver depending on year of manufacture and denomination.

Custom Made Rings

Price’s range from about £10.00 up to £70.00, depending on the coin chosen for your ring. The value of a coin is determined by it’s rarity and grade, the finer the coin the more detail your ring will have. The time taken to create your Coin Ring will also make  a difference to the final price. When you have decided on which coin you would like to have your ring crafted from I will quote a price. Just leave a comment with your email address, or email me and I’ll get in touch with you.

On this site I will also be posting for sale Coin Ring’s made from various coins off different sizes and Price’s which can be purchased directly by email me at gjobling@hotmail.co.uk . Payment can made by personal cheque or PayPal.

Alternatively you can buy coin rings directly from my etsy shop by pressing on the links available.

Ring shape

All Coin Rings have a slight tapered effect as the metal at the edge of most coins is thicker than that at the centre.

The biggest thing determining the shape of a finished Coin Ring is its size. For example a Half Crown Coin Ring sized UK S will have quite a profound D shaped profile, whereas a UK size Z ring made with the same coin will have a much flatter profile.

    Hi there,

My wife and I are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary this December, and I would like to get a coin ring or possibly a pair made.

I would ideally like to use a 2006 10 Thaj Baht coin (2006 as it was the year we married, 10 baht as it’s 10 years) and wanted to know if this is something you could do? I’ve no idea of the metals used and it’s suitability, also could you source the coin(s) or would I need to supply them?

I look forward to your reply!
    Sean

      Hi Mark
America stopped making silver coins in 1964.
All American coins where made from Cupro-Nickel by 1966
The only silver coin I regularly use for 50th birthdays is a 1966 Australian 50 cent coin, but these make quite a Large ring.
If you let me know what size ring you require I will see if there are any proof coins or
      Limited edition coins available.
      Hope this helps
      Regards Gary

      Hi Andrew
Sorry but all British coins made after 1947 are made from
      Cupro-Nickel
British coins where Sterling silver up to 1919
Then 50% silver up to 1947

      Hi Mark
The coin has a high silver content of about 80%
The price would be £25.00 plus p&p
I could have one made and dispatched in a couple of days
One point to keep in mind is that an Australian 50 cent is
Quite a large coin and makes quite a chunky ring
      1966 coin. ri g

I will supply this info once I know the size req.

      Hi Andy
It would cost £15.00 plus £2.00 second class signed for P&P
Just one point a half crown makes quite a large ring.
If you find out the size I’ll be able to see if its possible.

    Hi Gary
The ring would be for my wife’s thumb.
In the local jewlers they said the ring I took in for them to measure was around a T but said chunky rings are hard to size exactly.
Would this be ok for a half crown or would a florrin or shilling be better suited.
I will send this giving you the email address needed for any PayPal invoice.
    Many thanks

      Hi Andrew
Both half crown and florins will make a size T ring
As T is on the small side the finished ring will have a
      Pronounced D profile.

If you let me know which you would prefer I will get a coin ordered

      Hi Sharon
By 1961 all British coins are made from Cupro-Nickel.
There are still some International coins being made from silver in 1961
I would need to know what size ring you require to determine a suitable coin.

I don’t have a 1972 coin but can get one in a couple of days.
Half crowns by 1972 are made from Cupro-Nickel.
also the 1972 half crown is a commemorative coin for the queens 30th
      Wedding anniversary.
If you would like a ring made from one of these it would cost £22 inc.p&p1972 Half Coin

      Hi Maria
      Thank you for your interest.
I would need to know what size ring you require in order to advise on a suitable coin
It is very hard to find 1996 coins made from silver most are made from Cupro-Nickel or steel.
Some people opt for Victorian coins which are made from sterling silver.
For example an 1896 half crown, florin or even half dollar.
      Hope this helps.

      Hi
Yes you can get US silver proof coins for 1996,
A Quarter Dollar is too small for a ring as large size T
It would take a Half Dollar coin
I can get a silver half Dollar but it would depend on how quick you
      Require the ring.
